Zurich UK Life recruits new CFO from Ageas

Zurich has hired a new chief financial officer for its UK life business, recruiting the finance director of fellow insurer Ageas.

Helen Pickford will join the business after more than eight years as Ageas’ finance director, succeeding current chief financial officer Neil Evans when he retires on 1 April.

In addition to her time at Ageas, Pickford spent more than 15 years at Royal Sun Alliance, now RSA, including helming the firm’s investor relations operation.

Interim Zurich chief executive Jim Sykes says: “Helen’s broad expertise will be crucial as we adapt to the changing needs of customers in the new pensions landscape, and continue to drive the profitable growth of our business.”
