Zurich platform sales head exits

Zurich Financial Services head of platform distribution Jaki Platt has left the business.

She joined Zurich as area sales director in July 2009 and took up the position of head of platform distribution in April last year.

Platt has previously been head of retail at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership from April 2001 to December 2002 and head of sales at Invesco Life from January 2001 to March 2001.

A spokeswoman for Zurich Financial Services says: “We can confirm that Platt has left the business for personal reasons. We would like to thank Platt for her dedication and support in helping to deliver our retail platform and wish her well in the future.

In terms of replacing Platt, she added: “We are currently reviewing the team structure to ensure that we have the right framework in place to ensure a successful roll-out of our platform proposition”

Zurich was due to launch its retail platform in Q4 last year but delayed the launch until this year.

Eye-watering Financial Services Compensation Scheme levies have become the new normal, with no end in sight to the huge sums that advisers and their clients are paying for the failings of others. Tony Wickenden: The part of the matter

There are 2 comments at the moment, we would love to hear your opinion too.

  1. Have Zurich given a date for the launch of their platform yet?

  2. @Anonymous:

Well, it wasn’t Q4 2011, or Q1 2012 and without a head houncho to sign it off it won’t be Q2 and porbably not Q3.

By which time it will be a bit too close to the RDR deadline to launch with the already out-of-date fund rebate system they had planned.

At which point Zurich the numbers people at Zurich HQ might “do a Macquarie/UBS/Amex”…
