ZILL is granted Singapore licence

Zurich International Life Ltd is granted a Singapore operating licence, saying it is one of the first offshore international life companies to do so.

Following months of negotiation, the Monetary Authority of Singapore has approved Zurich’s application to enter the market and develop its presence in Asia.

ZILL chief executive Martin Davis says: “Singapore
is an attractive market for us. It is strongly regulated, with a high proportion of expatriate and high net worth internationally minded investors, and we believe our products and services will be very competitive
in the market.”
