Zan brings in account managers to aid IFAs

Zurich Advice Network is setting aside £4m and recruiting an array of industry heavyweights to provide support and shore up its tied salesforce of 3,500.

It has recruited six people for the new role of account manager, who will help advisers in the field.

These include Lawrence Hawthorn, who joins from Scottish Life and was previously LIA president, and Dominic O&#39Connor, who joins from PricewaterhouseCoopers. Peter Welch from Royal & Sun Alliance and Andrew Reeves from Independent Financial Strategies have also been recruited.

Sales director Andy Ferns says: “Significant market and regulatory turmoil and declining margins are creating a challenging environment for advisers. We aim to differentiate Zan by providing the very best support to our advisers tailored to their specific needs.”
