Young families living without life assurance, survey shows

A fifth of people with young families have no life assurance other than policies attached to their mortgage according to research from national IFA RJ Temple. More than half of over 65s have no life assurance, while across all age groups almost a third are not protected and nearly a quarter do not know whether they are or not. Just 2 per cent of people surveyed have cover equivalent to more than 15 years&#39 earnings and 9 per cent rely on company pension schemes.
