Yorkshire offers Christmas bonus

Yorkshire Building Society has launched a new range of competitive fixed rate mortgages with a Christmas Bonus applicable on two and three year products
for borrowers remortgaging before Christmas.
The two year fixed rate is 4.74 per cent and the three year fixed rate is 4.89 per cent.
The bonus comprises of £200 cashback, a free remortgage legal service and refund of valuation fees. A £595 fee is applicable to each product.
Yorkshire product development manager David Heshon says: “With much speculation about interest rates rising before the year end and possibly again during 2007 we have seen an increase in the popularity of fixed rate mortgages indicating that security of payments is a priority for today’s homeowners. It is likely that the Christmas Bonus package will make borrowers, who are not planning to move home but want to switch to a better rate deal, take action.”
