Year’s exemption for Reit companies

The Chancellor has given new property companies looking to become real estate investment trusts a year’s exemption to qualify with the regulations. New companies building up their property portfolios will have a year before having to comply with the rule that at least 75 per cent of the assets and income of their business consists of property rental activity.
