IFA John Townsend of Acumen Financial Services will be enjoying watching the World Cup on his new widescreen TV courtesy of Fidelity Investments' FundsNetwork.
Townsend, pictured (far right) with Fidelity national accounts manager Paul Bayliss, was entered into a draw when he asked for information about FundsNetwork in response to a mailshot from the fund manager.
About 15,000 leaflets were sent out to IFAs with the aim of getting advisers to use FundsNetwork business development packs as part of the advice process.
Townsend says: “I feel lucky to have won and the timing is especially great for this summer of football.”
Fidelity sweetened the win for Townsend by including enough lager to quench his thirst during the tournament.
Bayliss says: “Every now and then it is nice to be able to reward IFAs and we thought this was an ideal opportunity to get the ball rolling for the World Cup.”
