World Cup for the industry

Financial services companies have their own opportunity to grab the

foot- balling spotlight with the first Corporate World Cup.

The five-a-side football tournament, organised by event specialist

Top Corner, offers the chance to be the best corporate team in

Britain, competing against other industries in a national contest on

September 7.

Finance Fives take place on June 30 and is open to all financial

services companies. The winner becomes the National Finance Fives

Champion and gets an invitation to the first Fives Final where they

will face the winners of the 15 other industry groups.

Companies wanting to take part should visit the Fives website at www.

topcorner.it/fives. Deadline for entry is Friday, June 14. There is

an entry fee of £300 per team.

Top Corner events director Kevin Burns says: “Finance Fives is the

financial industry&#39s World Cup. Not many people appreciate how big

amateur corporate football is but it has a huge following. Financial

firms just love to compete, they love football and they love taking

on their professional rivals.”
