Woodall’s low blow over free advice

THE EDITOR’S COMMENT OF THE WEEK

Before she next opens her mouth on this subject, can FSA head of investment intermediaries Linda Woodall please phone a selection of accountants or solicitors in any Yellow Pages and ask the simple question, will you please complete my tax return/ write my will and do it for free?

Everything that the FSA has done has driven IFAs to this point and to now have the temerity to say that they should do things for “free” is a gross insult.

You sometimes question, how low can they go and, without fail, they find a new depth.

Sloughs of despond

  1. Quite some time ago I remarked on the seemingly endless string of devices with which the FSA manages to come up with which to kick IFA’s in the teeth. It’s almost as if a meeting is convened once a month at Canary Wharf to see who can devise the best new idea to perpetuate the campaign of persection, with bonus credits awarded to the winner. Awful.

  2. Not as low as nasty nic cicutti!!
