Winterthur Life is looking to increase the number of IFAs advising on income drawdown with a new online service called Simply Drawdown.
The service is looking to increase the efficiency of IFAs already active in this market and offer a range of support services aimed at encouraging more independent advisers to advise on drawdown.
The website features simplified illustrations, drawdown calculators, asset allocation pie charts and the facility to generate client-specific reason-why letters.
The site lets IFAs generate colour graphics for projected income which Winterthur says will help clients recognise the importance of investment performance.
The system sends an automatic warning to IFAs if a client's income fund is in danger of becoming too low.
Part of the website is password-protected for IFAs only while other areas give clients access to information on their investments.
IFAs using the service can select their preferred remuneration method, including a mix and match of initial and trail commission and fees.
To support the launch, Winterthur is running a series of nationwide IFA seminars dedicated to income drawdown and the new website.
Group sales and marketing director Mike Kellard says: “We are looking to increase business through existing drawdown IFAs as well as attract more advisers into the market.”
