Garry Hodson joins Winterthur after 17 years at Scottish Widows, latterly as sales account manager. For Winterthur he will be responsible for supporting advisers in the Glasgow region.

Previously sales consultant for Norwich Union, Joanne Dawson has been appointed at Winterthur. Joanne has over 18 years experience in the financial services industry. She will support a panel of Winterthur IFAs across Yorkshire and Teeside.

Matthew Horrocks joins Winterthur from a sales consultancy role at Prudential. With over eleven years experience in the financial services industry, Matthew will support Winterthur IFAs in the Bristol area.

Peter Mahon joins Winterthur from a consultancy position at Scottish Equitable. He has nearly ten years experience in the financial services industry. In his new role at Winterthur Peter will be responsible for IFA support in North London and Hertfordshire.

Winterthur Life managing director David Thompson says: “Consistent increases in business since A-Day – individual pensions up 122% in last month’s annual results – has provided Winterthur the opportunity to develop its specialist product and service proposition as part of the company’s 2007 growth plan.

“The four new appointments across our adviser support network will ensure we maintain our high level of support among our current client base whilst building our consultant network to attract new advisers seeking business in the growing high net worth market.”
