Winterthur boost for Sipps

Winterthur Life is to hit the road with post-polarisation advice for IFAs to promote Sipps.

The theme of the shows will be “realising the full potential of Sipps in a depolarised world – opportunities for growing highvalue business”.

The focus will be on depolarisation, the investment limits of Sipps, how to capture a share of the market and how to use the flexibility in the pension to meet clients&#39 changing needs.

The roadshows will take place during May in 12 locations around the UK, including Belfast, Glasgow, Leeds and Liverpool and will count as two hours towards CPD. Speakers will include sales and marketing manager Mike Kellard and pensions strategy manager Mike Morrison.

Winterthur says more than 1,000 IFAs attended its pension roadshows last year.

What's going on in the 'offshore' world?

Graeme Robb, Senior Technical Manager at Prudential, explores the current state of the nation for offshore issues and highlights areas which may be particularly relevant to advisers. In the context of insurance companies, ‘offshore’ can be a relatively straightforward matter. Like their onshore equivalent, offshore bonds are ‘non-qualifying’ for tax purposes, meaning that all gains […]
