Manning & Company’s Kathryn Gannon has won the chartered financial planner of the year award at the Personal Finance Society’s Personal Finance Awards.

The Cornwall-based planner is education officer for the PFS’ Cornwall and Plymouth branch, and won the award after being a finalist for the same prize last year.

Altrincham-based Lift Financial took the home the other top award of the night as chartered financial planning firm of the year.

PFS chief executive Keith Richards said: “Our award winners and finalists act as ambassadors for our profession, and they should be congratulated for their commitment to their clients as well as the profession more broadly.

“This year we received more submissions to our practitioner awards than ever before and this reflects both the prestige that our annual awards now hold, as well as the heightened level of professionalism and dedication that has been evolving within our profession.”
