Will experts set up network to aid public on IHT

Will planning experts have joined forces to set up a network to provide help to consumers hit by inheritance tax payments.

Legal Services Network will operate in seven regions across the UK offering advice on how to eradicate or minimise IHT liability for beneficiaries.

Network members are all qualified with the Standard of Institute of Professional Will Writers and LSN says the service combines the financial planning expertise of an adv-iser with the capability and legal knowledge of a solicitor.

It is hoping to target consumers who have not made a will or initiated estate planning.

LSN managing director Bill Stewart says: “We are passionate about making sure that hard-earned wealth passes in the appropriate manner upon death. All too often, families are forced to hand over a high proportion of an estate to the Chancellor because they did not get the right advice about inheritance tax and wills.

“The network has structured itself strategically, with offices throughout the key regions of the country to ensure that our services are accessible, regardless of where people live in the UK.”
