Where are they now…

The shadow of former news editor Adrian Cammidge looms over 2004. He left the benevolence of the Fourth Estate to move to the “dark side” of PR.

Just recently, we have heard he has since taken over the Aegon world and will hitherto be known as Darth “I am now a father” Cabbage and we hear former investment editor Chris “The Boy” Duncan is now living his dream as publicist for boy band Busted.

Kiwi life reporter Sonia Speedy took off earlier this year on a beer-fuelled expedition of Eastern Europe but she has not yet left the industry, freelancing via a satellite dish attached to her VW van for MM and other publications of lower quality. Ace news editor Corey Boles also moved on this year, trading his famous MM sleep-ins for regular 5am starts, such is the life of a milkman, delivering his cheesy goods throughout the City.

Finally, we bid features doctor Bruce Love farewell. The good doctor is taking the reins of European Fund Focus, no doubt as a serious career move and not for the countless trips abroad and chances to meet French ladies Au revoir, Monsieur L’amour.



ASB publishes accounting regimeThe Accounting Standards Board has published a standard accounting regime which builds on the FSA’s new regulatory capital regime for with-profits, introduced in November 2004. The standard, which will increase the transparency of with-profits funds, will be introduced in December 31, 2005.
