Wesleyan appoints director of general insurance

Wesleyan Assurance Society has appointed Andrew D’Arcy as director of general insurance.

The new role, created to develop Wesleyan’s general insurance business and expand its product range, will see D’Arcy develop a strategy outlining how the Society plans to grow its business.

On his appointment D’Arcy says: “Wesleyan is a unique business and there is enormous potential to develop general insurance services to our niche client markets.

“There is potential to introduce new tailored products, which will be of real value to our customers and to grow the business to a significant size.”

D’Arcy, the former RBS managing director of group insurance, will now report to Wesleyan’s director of customer services Martin Howard.

Howard says he is pleased D’Arcy is joining the firm.
