Wells Street Journal: The perils of textual intercourse

Any fans of the hit US TV drama Breaking Bad, which follows a cancer-suffering chemistry teacher/drug kingpin, will know that having two phones can cause real problems (spoiler: its how his wife figures out his new venture).

But for dopey hacks it might well be a good idea.

News reaches Wells Street Journal that while waiting to meet an MP, one MM reporter accidently texted an MP with a message meant for his girlfriend.

Thankfully it did not contain any (very) explicit content and certainly nothing illegal was discussed.

Instead, the message is understood to have contained a poke at someone else known to the hack, who was coincidentally in the same Westminster building at the time.

It required a hasty follow-up message to the MP in question, making clear the text had been sent in error.

The MP was very understanding about the whole episode, although the young hack still harbours fears that the missent jibe could yet be leaked around Westminster.

Ever landed yourself in hot water with a message sent in error?
