News reaches the Wells Street Journal that Transact boss Ian Taylor recently found himself so desperate for a fix of sister title Money Marketing that he was forced to log on from the jungles of Borneo.
Enjoying a family break, the intrepid explorer admitted to sneaking a peek at a recently published profile piece using hotel Wi-Fi. For the less-travelled among the WSJ readership, Borneo is an island in South-east Asia famed for its white sand beaches and jungle trekking. But Taylor is no budget backpacker – WSJ understands the platform boss travelled in style and was reading MM from the Shangri-La resort, described in one Tripadviser review as “paradise on earth”.
He is advised to exercise caution when exploring the jungle-isle, however. Borneo is famed for its primate population and given his unshaven aesthetic, there is every chance the resident silverback population could mistake him for a possible aggressor.
