Unfortunately, we are an industry in turmoil and we seem to lurch
from one disaster to another.
One of the most annoying things, among many, is the decline in
standards of administration by the various life offices, some, of
course, being far worse than others.
Most of us are quick to complain but usually slow to praise. I would
just like to take this opportunity through your column to readdress
the balance slightly and offer my praise to Axa Equity & Law.
In 1992, I sold a life policy to clients who still remain loyal
clients of mine. Sadly, the wife recently passed away.
I contacted Axa on January 27 this year and advised them of the situation.
The next day (January 28),I received a letter of condolence from them
along with the claim form.
I met with the client on January 29, completed the necessary
documents and returned them to Axa the same day. I duly received a
letter from them dated January 30, which I received in my office on
January 31, stating that they had paid the proceeds of the claim
directly in to my client's bank account.
The claims assessor and claims administrator who dealt with this were
Alison Olner and Mrs M Campanella respectively, who I feel deserve a
Well done Axa Equity & Law and thank you from a very satisfied IFA.
