Websites offer more investment trust data

The Association of Investment Trust Companies has expanded its website and linked up with information provider to supply more company data to investors.

The AITC&#39s website at now offers statistics including a range of performance figures, geographical spreads, discounts, split share analysis and total expense ratios for individual investment trusts and sectors.

For investors who want to keep track of managers, there is also a function which allows research on details such as manager&#39s name and length of service with a trust.

Information can also be found through, which has developed part of its website to provide daily news, performance figures and a historic share price calculator.

Reports and accounts and information on major shareholders in investment trusts can also be accessed through the website.

AITC communications director Annabel Brodie-Smith says: “The AITC website now incorporates more information than ever to help shareholders make informed decisions.”

Hemscott chief executive officer Rosalyn Wilton says: “This new service forms a valuable addition to the Hemscott portal and provides a comprehensive online resource for those researching investment trusts. We are confident that it will become an essential tool for both private and professional users.”
