Website offers Sterling fund data

F&C Management is offering a free guide to investing in the Pacific region.

The guide is aimed at current investors or anyone considering investing in the area and includes information on potential investment opportunities, a short history of the Pacific markets and an outline of how to invest in the region.

It also outlines details of the different markets including Japan, Hong Kong and China, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, South East Asia and India.

F&C Pacific Investment Trust manager Charles Brock says: “People overlook the region because they are concerned that it is risky. However, an international investment can help to diversify a portfolio because the region&#39s markets operate on a different cycle to those in the UK, the US or Europe.”

Director and head of private investor marketing Georgette Harrison says: “If an investor has decided that a Pacific investment is for them, they could consider F&C Pacific Investment Trust. They can invest in our savings plan, Isa or pension.”

Zurich IFA Group is offering an internet-based tool giving IFAs access to up-to-date information on its Sterling range of life funds.

The Fund Centre aims to help IFAs justify their investment decisions and save them time by reducing the time they spend on researching recommendations. It also enables them to build a virtual portfolio of client funds.

Features include information on its Sterling UK life funds, daily pricing, in-depth fund factsheets and fund filtering tools, as well as the option to set up email alerts.

It also allows IFAs to take a “fund X-ray”, enabling them to look at a client&#39s whole portfolio and analyse the underlying data to study the diversification of their recommendations.

Zurich IFA Group managing director Jim Reeve says: “We are determined to further strengthen our reputation as a major investment player through our lead brand, Sterling. The Fund Centre has been designed to equip IFAs with everything they need in the post-Sandler world to deliver ongoing investment advice for their clients in a cost-effective and efficient manner.”

The Fund Centre, which is run by Morningstar, can be accessed free by logging on to www.zifa.co.uk.
