Webinar service launches to help IFAs get ready for RDR

A new website is offering online seminars to help IFAs adapt to the changes required by the retail distribution review. will offer three levels of support, one based on webinars broadcast online plus two levels of oneto-one phone support.

Three business consultancies – Steve Billingham Consulting, CProject and Sandler Training – are behind the site, which aims to provide an affordable service.

CProject managing director Vanessa Lanham-Day says: “Delivering this support via webinars, augmented with one-to-one phone consultancy where required, brings it within reach for each and every firm.”

Final details on the course and prices will be confirmed this week but watching a series of between nine and 12 one-hour webinars will cost up to £1,000.
The broadcasts will cover client segmentation, pricing, securing referrals and marketing and promotion.

Anand Associates Wealth Architecture managing director Bhupinder Anand runs group training sessions for advisers oversees and says it is a welcome initiative but questions if take-up levels will be high. He says: “IFAs here have not realised they need to prepare now. I have offered training programmes and take-up has been insufficient. It should have appeal but I believe it will have limited success.”
