The Money Advice Service has launched a new television advertising campaign costing £1.43m based around its slogan “Ask Ma”.
The adverts first aired on Tuesday and will run until November to promote the use of MAS for dealing with unexpected bills and saving for a holiday.
It has an overall budget of £46.5m for 2013/14 and has launched a series of TV campaigns promoting its “free, unbiased and independent advice” service.
A MAS spokeswoman says: “The overall cost to run the TV ads through September, October and November is £1.43m, including production costs. The campaign speaks directly to people most in need of our help while maintaining the high levels of impact of the MA campaign launched last year.
“The new campaign is moving from letting people know who we are to showing people how we can help solve their problems – by making money relevant, real and reassuringly straightforward.”
