Warburg dives in with an ad splash

Investment banking giant UBS Warburg is launching a new worldwide advertising campaign focusing on the group&#39s investment performance and efficiency.

The campaign will be built around the slogan “Success Demands More” and aims to push the bank&#39s investment services to a wider audience.

It will feature in finan-cial publications across the world and on the internet throughout this autumn and into next year.

UBS Warburg is the investment banking, securities and wealth management business of Swiss financial services organisation UBS AG.

The ads aim to associate UBS Warburg with images of vision, performance and efficiency. The look and style of the advertisements work alongside parent company UBS AG&#39s brand campaign “Success is more than”, which was launched in July 2000.

Designed by ad agency Publicis, the campaign concentrates on the latest achievements in technology and the new economy.

One of the images used is the Fatskin swimmer&#39s body suit, designed to replicate the hydrodynamics of a shark and was worn by many swimmers at the Sydney Olympics. Also featured in the campaign is the Ultimate bicycle, on which a new world speed record of 334.6kmph was set, and the world&#39s first internet-based virtual newscaster, Ananova.

Publicis group chairman Rick Bendel says: “The global business environment bec-omes more challenging daily. The global campaign recognises the reality of this tougher world and links the brand to exceptional capability.”
