Walsh does it his way

The much built-up highlight of the annual Lifesearch charity fund-raising and karaoke extravaganza was set to be the ABI head of life and health Richard Walsh’s impersonation of Sid Vicious.

Walsh turned up looking his ever-so-clean-cut usual self. However, the transformation that took place had everyone aghast.

Walsh had become a Sid Vicious-meets-Vivien (The Young Ones) lookalike complete with green Mohican, the finest punk ensemble and his arms adorned in ballpoint with some rather rude words as he belted out My Way.

Shame, shame on you, Mr Walsh, for showing your dark side with such gusto. But it was a vast improvement effort-wise on last year’s “highlight” of the Waterloo duet by the editors of two certain trade newspapers. A total of 4,200 was raised for Medecins Sans Frontieres.
