Adviser introducer website VouchedFor is to launch its first TV advertising campaign next week.
The series of adverts will run from April 18th on channels including National Geographic, Channel 4, Sky News and ITV3.
They will focus on the current lack of retirement planning carried out by many people and the value to ordinary people of taking advice.
A VouchedFor survey of 1,000 consumers found nearly half (40 per cent) do not know how much money they will need to retire on, while a quarter (24 per cent) have “no idea” how to start saving.
VouchedFor founder Adam Price says: “VouchedFor has grown to become a community of over 10,000 advisors that have accrued over 50,000 client reviews between them.
“But there is more work to do to encourage consumers to take interest in their finances, no mean feat as evidenced by the Money Advice Service failing despite a £9m annual marketing budget.
“Through our first national TV campaign, we aim to provide a friendly jolt out of apathy for British consumers by showing them how easy it is to get great financial advice and sort out their finances. In so doing we will deliver valuable business to the thousands of financial and legal advisers we partner with and who are listed on Vouchedfor.”
