Viviane Clement is new head of intermediary sales at A&L

Alliance & Leicester has announced the internal appointment of Viviane Clement to the new role of head of intermediary sales.

Clement will take up the role immediately and will be responsible for the intermediary sales division, including both field based and telephony teams.

Clement leaves her current role as regional sales manager for London, South East and East Anglia.

Director of mortgages Raj Uppal says Clement has a successful track record of sales management within the retail network and in intermediary sales.

He says: “She is committed to Alliance & Leicester and the bank’s intermediary partners, and as such I know she will prove to be a valuable asset in this new role, ensuring Alliance & Leicester’s service to the intermediary community continues to be second to none.”

John Charcol senior technical manager Ray Boulger says: “Viviane maintains absolutely the right balance of keeping us informed of pricing and policy changes, efficiently dealing with queries and working closely with our business development manager. Her promotion to head of intermediary sales is well deserved and I have no doubt that she is the right person for this important post.”
