Virginmoney.com gives stakeholder guidance

Financial services website Virginmoney.com is offering details of stakeholder providers and guidance on the new pension although the company is steering clear of the market.
The site&#39s stakeholder wizard sits alongside similar guides for products sold by the company, including Isas, mortgages and personal loans. The interactive tool gives details on charges and fund choices to help users decide whether stakeholder is the most suitable pension option.
The site features a link to the FSA&#39s stakeholder guidance and decision trees as well as a proviso that, if users are still unsure about stakeholder, they should contact a financial adviser.
Director of communications Tony Wood says: “Once a customer has read all the information, we will show them all the providers from across the market. It is then up to customers to decide which one best meets their retirement needs. This is a move to add value to the site for our customers. Although we will not make a penny on the service, we are aiming to help our customers&#39 overall financial planning.”

We concluded last week&#39s discussion by examining the merits of investing in commercial property as a core part of an investment portfolio.
