Virgin calls for investment change

Virgin Direct is calling on the Financial Services Authority to ensure product providers inform customers that investments can “seriously underperform.”


Virgin Direct marketing manager Gordon Maw is claiming both active and tracker managers should be forced to elaborate on the particular risks.


Fund managers currently need only tell investors markets may go up as well as down.The Financial Services Authority says it will consider the request.
