Verdin says his remit at NU will be to “own, lead and drive” the firm’s existing business proposition.
He says: “My responsibilities will include pricing, underwriting, IT and customer experience and I am very much looking forward to it. I want to help NU achieve its aspirations in the protection market and I have been given a fairly sizeable role to help them do that.”
DLP managing director Michael Ward says: “Our business has never been stronger or more successful than it is today and Verdin has played his part in that success.”
CBK principal Peter Chadborn says: “Verdin always provides valued and insightful comment and this is partly due to his experience as an adviser but I am very surprised he has moved to NU as it is a provider not known for innovation in protection.”
DLP was bought by Cardif Pinnacle in March. A replacement for Verdin will be announced in September.
