US firm spreads the word

American software firm Money Minders Software is to enter the UK market by the end of the year offering its financial planning spreadsheets product to IFAs.

It says the product, which acts as an add-on to Microsoft Office or Excel, offers 153 Excel templates to handle almost any financial planning situation and produce client reports.

MMS is trying out a test version of its software with UK advisers and believes there is good demand for the product.

The product will cost 400 for a single-user version, inc-luding a one-year licence, updates and technical support, and 169 a year thereafter.

Founder Peter Baigent says the firm has been providing financial planning software for the Canadian and American market for 16 years, with some UK advisers already using its international edition.

Baigent says: “We have been very pleased with the calibre and number of advisers who have agreed to be beta testers of our financial planning spreadsheets. This indicates there is a good demand for software like ours in the UK.”
