The United Packagers Association has announced the launch of a new website for intermediaries.
The website includes information on how to become a member together with marketing support which smaller packagers can use.
The UPA is part of The Mortgage Times Group and appeals to smaller packagers in the market and aims to assist these firms in growing their business levels.
The Mortgage Times Group will offer UPA members access to its marketing and compliance facilities and a new back office system, as well as a panel of over 80 lenders.
The UPA also gives smaller packagers the opportunity to soft package and satellite package for enhanced commission rates, and will have quarterly members meetings to discuss key issues in the marketplace.
The Mortgage Times Group director Chris May says: “Unlike other packager associations comprised of smaller firms, UPA will hold sway in the market because of The Mortgage Times Group’s reputation as producing volume business in the industry.
“We, like a lot of smaller packagers, are privately owned and I feel because of this we have a great synergy with our smaller counterparts. Anyone joining UPA will have the benefit of our offering immediately enabling them to compete with large packagers on an even playing field.”
