UBS Global Asset Management has appointed Matthew Cox to run the UBS UK select fund.
Cox replaces Paul Fairbrother who moves to the pan-European equity team as head of portfolio construction.
Cox has 10 years investment experience and has been at UBS for the last five. He is currently an analyst and portfolio manager on the European small and mid cap team headed by Frank Manduca.
Cox says: “I will look to maintain an exposure towards the largest FTSE 100 companies but also intend to increase the fund’s small and mid-cap exposure from 18 per cent to around 30 per cent in order to give the potential for greater returns.”
