Turner to recommend increase in pension age, says leak

The Turner Report will recommend the state pension rising to 67, as well as a new national pension savings plan offering charges of around 0.2 per cent a year, according to a national newspaper leak.
The leak also suggests an increase to the basic state pension, paid for by the increase in pension age from 65 to 67.
The new savings plan is to be named Britsaver, with individuals automatically enrolled and contributions collected through a pay-as-you-earn system offering a limited number of funds to choice from.
The newspaper says minimum contributions could be around 6 per cent, split equally between employer and employee, with the aim to charge around 0.2 per cent a year.
