TrustNet sees 40% increase in web hits

UK investment fund information provider TrustNet says the number of

people logging on to its website has increased by more than 40 per

cent since last year.

The number of monthly user sessions has gone up to 190,000 in 2002

from 120,000 in 2001.

It calculates this figure by looking at the number of page impressions

that users make.

The top five sections visited by users are: the unit trust and Oeic

database, the specialist fund news service, the education guides, the

free portfolio service and the new investment sections which include

UK pension and life funds.

TrustNet sales and marketing director James Jones puts the increase

in traffic down to the latest additions to the site, including new

product databases, education guides and a more comprehensive news

Jones says: “With year-on-year traffic increases like this, it is

clear that investors are visiting the site to become more informed,

perhaps with a view to being better prepared for further market
