The Treasury select committee will question Chancellor Gordon Brown over the pre- Budget report.The committee is calling for submissions to put to the Chancellor and Treasury officials as part of its inquiry into the report, due to be issued on December 5. The programme of oral evidence consists of two public meetings on December 7, one with expert commentators and the second with Treasury officials. Brown will then face questions on December 8. The committee says it welcomes written evidence on the report which must be submitted by 4pm on December 6. Much of the evidence received during the inquiry will be made public. The committee is appointed to examine the expenditure, admin and policy of the Treasury, Revenue and Customs and associated public bodies.Written evidence should be submitted in Word format and sent to email@example.com.
