Travis to lead Cavendish Young acquisitions

Jeff Travis, principal of the Sesame Business Exchange has joined IFA Cavendish Young as sales and development director.

His role will be to orchestrate Cavendish Young’s growth strategy. He has collaborated with the London IFA firm on some acquisitions already and has worked on developing its business plan.

Part of Cavendish Young’s growth strategy includes acquiring access to client banks of retiring IFAs in the London area and the Home Counties. The firm hopes to complete a further four acquisitions this year and is also creating eight openings for IFAs.

Travis was the principal of Jeff Travis Consulting and was managing director of Acquisitions Mergers and Sales. He is a former chief executive of the LIA and was head of sales of AMP UK.

Travis says: “Companies such as Cavendish Young represent the future of financial services. We have a very optimistic and positive attitude towards the industry.We have a youthful team with energy and experience.”

Cavendish Young managing director Mark Estcourt says: “We have operated very successfully and profitably as a quality, small to mid-size firm but our dream is to build Cavendish Young into a substantial general practice.”
