Transact marketing head Malcolm Murray to leave

Advisers have paid tribute to Transact head of marketing Malcolm Murray after he announced he is leaving the business.

Murray will depart next week and return to running his own consultancy firm.

He has been at Transact for 13 years, after joining in 2000 as a consultant.

Murray says: “I have been fortunate to be an integral part of Transact from its pioneering days to its position now as the leader in its field. It has been an exhilarating time for all of us at Transact and we have enjoyed the support of a fantastic group of financial planners.

“I look forward to being ’the boss’ again when I can choose the tasks to undertake.”

Forty Two Wealth Management partner Alan Dick says: “Malcolm is a wonderful individual who is very switched on and has a wealth of knowledge of the industry. He will be missed in the platform industry.”

Jacksons Wealth Management managing director Pete Matthew says: “Malcolm is a bit of an industry legend and a true innovator which is something woefully rare in financial services at the moment. This is the end of an era for Transact and the platform industry as a whole and he will definitely be missed.”
