Transact launch automated reregistration facility

Transact and EMX Message System have developed an automated reregistration facility for clients transferring assets in their own name to a nominee.

The new facility should help to speed up the reregistration process as well as eliminating communication errors, says EMX.

The facility will be used where clients wish to change intermediaries and where an intermediary wishes to outsource management of their client’s portfolio to another intermediary.

Transact head of operations Mark Links says: “It was envisaged that making this step would underline the demand that exists for re-registration automation amongst intermediaries and platforms, as well as moving us closer to nominee-to-nominee re-registration.”
