Towry Law looking at brand after buys

IFA Towry Law is carrying out an investigation into recognition of its brand.

The firm has bought Advizas, HambroFraserSmith, Guthrie Harrington and Park Dale in the last two years.

Towry Law says it has inherited a number of cultures and it wants to create a common culture and consistency.

Corporate branding consultancy Corporate Edge has started working to define if a new brand is required. It will be presenting its recommendations in May.

It is speaking to employees of the IFA, mystery shopping and studying customer trends and market development. Brand scenarios will be created and researched among external audiences before recommendations are made.

Towry Law marketing director Mike Bowman says: “Towry Law is a very different organisation than it was even three years ago. The time has come to take stock of the changes and create a sense of what the new organisation stands for. Internally, this will give the company a common sense of self, a flag to march behind. Externally it will have a platform for marketing communications and product development activities.”

How many definitions of risk do clients discuss with IFAs – inflation risk, interest rates, markets, default, liquidity, event, tax, legislation, manager, principal?
