Towry Law admits to talks with rivals

Towry Law chief executive Douglas Black has admitted the company is in &#39gentle talks&#39 with rival IFA firms, according to today&#39s Financial Times.

The Black says he wishes to continue the firms expansion programme and has £50m in the kitty for acquisitions.

The recruitment drive has seen Towry Law enhance its saleforce with the addition of 50 advisers in the first half of the year to bring the total to 180.

The firm also reported a 48 per cent increase in turnover to 17m for the six months to June 30.
