Towry head of investments Andrew Wilson will leave the firm this year following its acquisition by Tilney Bestinvest.

Wilson, who help with the transition of duties in the coming months, has been with the firm since 1994, when it was John Scott & Partners.

Since 1996, when he was appointed investment director, Wilson was responsible for multi-manager and multi-asset investment portfolios, and specialised in fund research, portfolio construction and risk analysis.

His departure follows announcements this week regarding appointments within the investment management division.

A spokesperson for Tilney says: “We are currently in a HR consultation process around the integration of Towry with Tilney Bestinvest so are unable to confirm details of the future structure of the central investment team at this point.

“Andrew will however remain with us for some months to help ensure a smooth integration.”
