Towergate Financial rebrands as Wren Sterling

Towergate Financial has rebranded to Wren Sterling following a management buyout.

The new name will cover Towergate’s 110-strong adviser business. Mortgage broker John Charcol is expected to retain its existing identity.

Palatine Private Equity completed a £14m deal in support of last month’s management buyout, backing Towergate Financial chief executive Warren Page to lead the business.

Page says: “Our new brand marks the start of a new era for our business. Importantly we have listened to our staff, clients and strategic partners and have delivered a new brand that reflects our propositions and values.

“It also symbolises the uncompromised role we play for our clients in guiding them through complex financial situations both now and in the years to come.”

Executive chairman Ian Darby adds: “The opportunity for Wren Sterling is significant and the financial commitment made in the business by Palatine and management signals our confidence in the market.”
