Top posts are filled at mega firm CGNU

The first raft of appointments to the mega insurer CGNU&#39s UK life business


has seen four CGU and two Norwich Union people appointed to senior


positions.


Sales and marketing director of the UK life arm will be Peter Hales. He is


CGU Life sales and marketing director.


NU group wealth management managing director Nick Smith will take up the


equivalent position in the combined group&#39s life operation.


NU&#39s managing director of long-term savings Mike Kirsh will be consumer


business director. CGU Life&#39s director of customer services Gill Vance will


be business services director.


CGU Life&#39s finance director Mike Urmston will become chief actuary. CGU&#39s


Peter Hessy becomes human resources director.


The life offices will continue to trade separately until the single


marketing group is up and running in the autumn.


Designate chief executive Philip Scott says: “We are committed to


communicating as quickly and as frequently as we can, to reassure our


business partners, IFAs and customers that the integration will be as


efficient and speedy as possible.”
