Tomlins replaces Isaacs on M&G European high yield fund

M&G Investments has appointed James Tomlins as fund manager for its £77m European high yield bond fund.

Tomlins will replace fund manager Stefan Isaacs, who will remain on the fund as deputy fund manager.

M&G has planned the move since Tomlins joined in June. Tomlins has also been appointed deputy fund manager for the £1.1bn high yield corporate bond fund. Tomlins will support Isaacs, who remains the fund manager on this fund.

Tomlins will report to Isaacs. Both changes were effective from December 1, 2011.

Tomlins has nearly a decade’s experience of investment management. He has worked previously for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and KBC Alternative Investment Management.

Before Tomlins joined M&G from Cazenove in June 2011, he was deputy fund manager of the Cazenove strategic bond fund.
