TMT mortgage academies bid to draw new blood

It will introduce academies nationwide, with two in London and one in the Northwest. As the project develops, more academies will be launched in other locations.

This will enable potential new brokers to become CeMAP qualified and progress to the next level of their development. The scheme will then allow qualified brokers to have the option after training to find employment in various parts of The Mortgage Times network.

The group is holding two introduction forums and Hazel Richards from The Chartered Insurance Institute will be the guest speaker.

There will also be talks from key members of staff from TMT, including compliance director Darryl Barnett.

TMT spokesman Payam Azadi says: “As well as giving candidates a chance to speak with other people in their position, it also lets them get to know the group.”

The group announced last month that it was looking to meet the increasing demand from its AR population for new recruits by introducing newly-qualified brokers into the industry. The aim of the venture is to assist unqualified or partly qualified brokers obtain the necessary qualifications.
