Tisa platform committee appoints head of re-reg

The Tax Incentivised Savings Association has appointed Alistair Reid to its platform re-registration executive steering committee to head up its re-reg programme.

Reid starts in the role with immediate effect and will be responsible for developing and maintaining the programme plan for platform re-registration.

He will also keep the Financial Services Authority up to date with the service’s progress.

It is hoped that the re-reg service will be fully implemented before the retail distribution review deadline in 2012.

Prior to his role at TISA Reid was chief operating officer at Thornhill Investment Management.

He has experience in consultancy and project management and has also held senior roles at J P Morgan Chase and Morgan Stanley Trust Co.

Committee chairman David Dalton-Brown says: “This is a complex intitative and it was important that we found someone not only with the appropriate knowledge but also the necessary experience of dealing with people at a senior level in the investment industry.

“This is an essential quality if we are to support the buy-in we already have from the multi stakeholders involved in the re-registration programme.”
