Three Abbey directors resign in boardroom reshuffle

Abbey National chief executive Ian Harley has announced a new group management structure which sees three executive directors, Ian Treacy, John King and Timothy Ingram, leave the bank.

Treacy was company secretary, King headed business-to-business banking and Ingram was human resources director.

Under the new structure Andrew Pople will head up retail banking, Mark Pain will manage wholesale banking and Malcolm Millington will take control of a new wealth management and long term savings division.
