Threadneedle expands emerging markets debt team

Threadneedle Investments has appointed Richard House as a fund manager to join its emerging markets fixed income team.

House will be responsible for the management of emerging market fixed income assets and will report to Paul Murray-John, head of the emerging markets fixed income team.

Prior to joining Threadneedle, House worked for Wadhwani Asset Management as an emerging market portfolio manager and trader. He has also worked as a portfolio manager for HSBC, where he was responsible for managing a listed emerging market debt fund.

Threadneedle has more than £21bn under management across all fixed income asset classes including high yield, investment grade, credit, government bonds and emerging market debt.

Murray-John says: “We are pleased to have Richard on board to bolster our successful capability. Our team has a breadth of experience managing a variety of emerging market debt strategies across different funds including a hedge fund. With our strong track record and team in place, we plan to continue growing the emerging market debt product range and customer base through institutional, retail and alternative/ hedge channels around the world.”
